Biodiesel
Crude rapeseed oil can be converted into biodiesel through transesterification. Rapeseed methyl ester is one of the most common biodiesel types in Europe.

Crude oils
Mechanically pressed and filtered cold pressed rapeseed oil from our Ukrainian plant, supplied in bulk to food producers, feed mills and biodiesel plants.
Cold pressed rapeseed oil is the oil a screw press squeezes out of rapeseed flakes without solvents and without chemical refining. We filter it once pressing is done and send it to storage. That is the whole treatment.
Because so little is removed, the oil keeps its deep golden colour, a grassy, slightly nutty taste and the natural tocopherols of the seed. Rapeseed oil is known for a low share of saturated fat and for containing alpha-linolenic acid, the plant omega-3, and cold pressing leaves that profile as nature made it.
Crude rapeseed oil is the broader trade term. It covers oil from a single cold pass as well as oil pressed again, sometimes with gentle heat, for a higher yield. Both are unrefined rapeseed oil and both are available from us.
Rapeseed runs through the same five-stage press line as our sunflower seed.
Rapeseed is small, so sieves and magnetic separators matter: they take out soil, stones, metal and weed seeds before anything reaches the press.
The seeds are cracked and the hulls separated by aspiration or other mechanical methods.
The kernels are crushed and rolled into thin flakes, which opens the oil cells and speeds up extraction.
Screw presses squeeze the flakes. One pass gives rapeseed oil cold pressed in the classic way; extra passes raise the yield of crude oil.
Fine solids are filtered out, leaving a clear oil that is ready for bulk tanks.
The rapeseed we press is grown by our member farms and kept in certified silos before it goes to the plant. You can read how we grow it on the rapeseed farming page. Having the crop, the storage and the press in one chain lets us plan volumes from harvest to shipment.
Our capacity for this oil is 9,000 t a year. It is a smaller line than sunflower, so we recommend agreeing volumes early in the season.
A single cold pass gives less oil per tonne of seed but keeps the flavour and colour most intact. Buyers who sell the oil for cold kitchen use or as a premium ingredient usually ask for this grade.
Repeated pressing with gentle heat lifts the yield. That crude rapeseed oil is the common choice for refineries, feed producers and biodiesel plants, where the natural flavour matters less than volume and a steady specification.
Our laboratory tests the incoming seed and the finished oil for both grades. Tell us how you will use the oil, and we will suggest the grade and agree the specification in the contract.

The oil serves as a base for biodegradable lubricants and other industrial products where a plant origin matters.
In feed, rapeseed oil adds energy and essential fatty acids for growing livestock and poultry.
Food producers use the oil for dressings and cold dishes, or refine it further. Refineries buy it as raw material.
Typical values for the product type, final specification per contract.
We ship cold-pressed rapeseed oil in tank trucks of 24 Mt or in flexi bags inside 20' containers. Delivery terms such as FCA, CFR, CIF, DAP or DDP are fixed in the contract.
If you need a neutral taste for frying or retail bottles, our refined rapeseed oil is the better match. Sunflower buyers will find the main line on the crude sunflower oil page, and cold pressed soybean oil is pressed on the same equipment.

Send us the volume, delivery terms and destination, and we will come back with a price and the lot specification.

Our plant is sized for 9,000 t of rapeseed oil per year. Large contracts are best planned soon after harvest.
Yes, crude rapeseed oil is a standard feedstock for biodiesel made by transesterification. Tell us your plant's input requirements and we will confirm the lot specification.
Our regular oil is conventional and is not sold as certified organic. If you need organic cold pressed rapeseed oil, say so in your request and we will check whether a certified lot is possible.
Yes, cold pressed rape seed oil is just another spelling of the same product.
Refined oil goes through degumming, neutralization, bleaching and deodorization, which gives a neutral taste and a higher smoke point. Cold pressed oil skips those stages and keeps its colour and flavour.
