Refined oils
Refined rapeseed oil with a light colour and neutral taste, made at our Ukrainian plant from rapeseed grown on our own farms and supplied in bulk or bottles.
Refined rapeseed oil is rapeseed oil that has been pressed and then cleaned of gums, free fatty acids, pigments and odours. What remains is a pale yellow oil with almost no taste or smell, a high smoke point and good stability in storage.
The fatty acid profile of rapeseed stays in the oil after refining. It is low in saturated fat and contains both oleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid, the plant omega-3. That combination, together with the neutral flavour, is why the oil is widely used for frying, baking and food production.
We press the seed ourselves, so every lot of refined rapeseed oil Ukraine buyers receive from us comes from one controlled chain: our farms, our silos, our presses and our refinery.
The crude oil passes through five stages before it is ready for food use.
Water or acid hydrates the phospholipids in the crude oil, and a centrifuge separates them so they cannot cause emulsions.
Sodium hydroxide or another alkali turns free fatty acids into soapstock, which is removed by centrifuge to protect taste and stability.
Bleaching earth or activated carbon absorbs pigments, oxidation products and trace metals that would darken the oil, and is then filtered out.
Steam distillation under vacuum at high temperature strips the volatile compounds that give rapeseed its typical smell.
Slow cooling makes high-melting triglycerides crystallise so they can be filtered off. Rapeseed oil treated this way stays clear at low temperatures.
Rapeseed oil refined on our line works well where the oil must not compete with other flavours: mayonnaise, dressings, sauces, bakery and ready meals. Its fatty acid profile also makes it a useful base oil for margarine and shortening.
For professional kitchens we offer RAPESEED FRY Chef's Choice, a frying rapeseed oil described on the professional deep-frying solutions page. We also produce SUNRAP, a blend of sunflower and rapeseed oil for frying.
Rapeseed is checked in our laboratory when it arrives from the farms, and the crude oil is tested again before it goes to the refinery. During refining the lab follows each stage, and the finished oil is sampled once more before loading or bottling.
Running the press and the refinery as one operation makes it easier to trace each batch of refined rapeseed oil back to its seed lot. The specification agreed for your order is stated in the offer and fixed in the contract.
Rapeseed oil has a naturally low share of saturated fat, and refining does not change the fatty acid profile. What it removes are the substances that cause colour, smell and early spoilage, so the oil keeps its quality through transport and storage.

Our rapeseed oil capacity is 9,000 t a year. Because this line is smaller than sunflower, larger volumes are best booked early in the season.
Yes. Refining raises the smoke point and removes flavour compounds, so the oil handles high heat well. For restaurants we also offer RAPESEED FRY Chef's Choice.
Yes, we bottle refined rapeseed oil under private label in PET bottles from 850 ml to 10 L.
It removes the high-melting fractions that would make the oil cloudy in cold storage, so it stays clear on the shelf.
